Reiki I (NCBTMB Approved)

Reiki is an ancient and time-honored Japanese modality of helping the body get back in balance to that homeostasis can occur. Dr. Usui, founder of the traditional Usui Method of Reiki, was a teacher. When he found he did not have an answer for one of his students, he traveled the world in search of the answer. In his education and travels, he gained wisdom that served him well when he returned to Japan. It was in Japan that everything he learned came together.

Reiki is learning that the body has energy, or Ki, or Chi, running throughout it and how to use the Life Force that is all around us, in Nature, to connect with our client. It can be used with soft hands-on or hands-off the body. Many hospitals use Reiki practioners to be a calming and centering influence on the patients. Reiki can be done on yourself, your pets, your food, etc. In the 3 day class, we meet together in our "talking circle", getting to know each other and ourselves more.
