You will learn the profound healing ability of Lomi Lomi massage, and discover the Hawaiian philosophy of “Huna”. The philosophy of Huna is the harmonious blend of hands, hearts and soul --- everything seeks harmony and everything seeks love. The hallmark of Lomi is the loving connectedness between the practitioner and client, thus the name "Loving Hands" massage.

You’ll learn a number of distinctive styling strokes. The Therapist will become comfortable with a fluid, rhythmic motion using the forearms in broad, flat strokes. This feeling is most commonly described as gentle waves moving over the body.

The Therapist will learn to assist the client to different levels of relaxation by working separate quadrants of the body. This assists the recipient in total relaxation, as it is extremely difficult for the brain to focus on the two different areas simultaneously. The Flow over the body as a whole being, rather than working on areas in isolation, assists in a deep sense of balance and the achievement of harmony.
