Therapeutic Stretching

About this class

In this course, you will gain a solid foundation in the techniques necessary to create effective therapeutic stretching routines. Through a comprehensive understanding of anatomy and neuro-muscular adaptation patterns, you will learn to identify when and why it is important to incorporate stretching into massage routines.

Stretching is a critical component of providing a diverse range of clients with the services and results they require to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle. While soft tissue manipulation through massage facilitates many healing benefits, incorporating stretching into massage routines can assist and enhance the restoration of functional posture, stability, and structural efficiency. Without stretching, massage alone may not lead to optimal balance and postural alignment.

Professional athletes rely on stretching as an integral part of their training regimen because it works. Proper stretching technique and timing can improve performance and prevent injuries. This course will illustrate that massage and stretching are both essential factors in a greater holistic equation.

On the second day of the course, you will gain valuable real-world clinical experience, applying your newly acquired knowledge and skills to assist clients in achieving optimal balance and postural alignment.
